Paul Testifies of the Appearance of Jesus on the Damascus Road
(See Acts 26:16, 18.)
President Gordon B. Hinckley said:
“. . . I have thought of the words of Paul to Agrippa when Paul described his experience on the road to Damascus. He saw a light from heaven and heard a voice speaking unto him, and he fell to the ground. And Jesus said, ‘. . . rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee . . . to make thee a minister and a witness . . .
“‘To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God’ (Acts 26:16, 18).
“This is the business of the Church—to open the vision of men to eternal verities, and to prompt them to take a stand for equity and decency, for virtue and sobriety and goodness.”
