“The Most Correct of Any Book on Earth, and the Keystone of Our Religion”
Introduction to the Book of Mormon
The Prophet Joseph Smith said:
“I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.”
Elder Bruce R. McConkie said:
“The Prophet’s expression . . . means precisely what it says. The keystone is the central stone in the top of the arch. If that stone is removed, then the arch crumbles, which, in effect, means that Mormonism . . . —which actually is the gospel of Christ, restored anew in this day—stands or falls with the truth or the falsity of the Book of Mormon.”
