Paradise Is a State of Happiness, Rest, and Peace
Alma 40:12
12 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow.
President Joseph F. Smith said:
“The spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace [see 2 Nephi 9:13; Alma 60:13; Moroni 10:34], where they expand in wisdom, where they have respite from all their troubles, and where care and sorrow do not annoy.”
