“Say Nothing but Repentance unto This Generation”
Doctrine and Covenants 11:8–9
8 Verily, verily, I say unto you, even as you desire of me so it shall be done unto you; and, if you desire, you shall be the means of doing much good in this generation.
9 Say nothing but repentance unto this generation. Keep my commandments, and assist to bring forth my work, according to my commandments, and you shall be blessed.
The Prophet Joseph Smith wrote:
“I think that it is high time for a Christian world to awake out of sleep, and cry mightily to that God, day and night, whose anger we have justly incurred. [The condition of the world should] arouse the faculties, and call forth the energies of every man, woman, or child that possesses feelings of sympathy for their fellows, or that is in any degree endeared to the budding cause of our glorious Lord.”
