“Establish . . . a House of God”
Doctrine and Covenants 88:119
119 Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God . . .
Elder John A. Widtsoe said:
“The temple is a place of instruction. Here the principles of the gospel are reviewed and profound truths of the kingdom of God are unfolded. If we enter the temple in the right spirit and are attentive, we go out enriched in gospel knowledge and wisdom.”
(“Looking Toward the Temple,” Ensign, Jan. 1972, 56–57.)
