John 15:26
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

“The Holy Ghost is Christ’s gift to men because the companionship of that member of the Godhead is made available through the Atonement. This Comforter is sent by the Father in the name of the Son (John 14:26). He comes to minister in the place and stead of the Lord Jesus, giving the message and bearing the testimony that would come from the Son of God if He were ministering personally to men. ‘When the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father,’ Jesus said, ‘he shall testify of me’ (John 15:26).”
