“Woe Is unto Me, If I Preach Not the Gospel!”
1 Corinthians 9:16
16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
Elder Bruce R. McConkie wrote:
“Unless God’s ministers labor diligently, they are under condemnation. Those among them who serve God with all their ‘heart, might, mind and strength,’ shall ‘stand blameless’ before Him ‘at the last day’ (D&C 4:2). Those who are ‘slothful shall not be counted worthy to stand’ in His glorious presence and shall fail to gain the reward they offered to others through their preaching [see D&C 107:99–100].”
