As early as 1832, the Lord, in His perfect foreknowledge, revealed through the Prophet Joseph Smith that Brigham Young would one day preside over the Church.
Doctrine and Covenants 130:7
7 . . . [A]ll things . . . past, present, and future . . . are continually before the Lord.
The Prophet Joseph Smith said:
“. . . [T]he time will come when Brother Brigham Young will preside over this Church.”
